Viewing Notes

Available via OnDemand in the HD movies for Halloween. Been wanting to revisit having not seen it seen its theatrical release in 1998. Was lukewarm on it then. Definitely like it more now as I have more context around it (and being more familiar with Carpenter’s work). Lots of neat things to appreciate in particular the practical FX. Still slightly bloated and feels like it could be trimmed 10 minutes or so to tighten up some scenes. Overall a fun men on a mission flick that features vampires. James Woods is the best.
