Viewing Notes

Another one I missed at Fantastic Fest 2010. Heard both good and bad things. The good was the series of long takes like 11 or 12 total takes, which is an interesting way to present this film and definitely provides more tension. The bad was the brutality and general mean-spirited nature of the film. Makes sense now that I’ve seen it. A very mean and unrelenting movie. Probably would have been more effective viewing in a theater, a packed theater no less, and in its original language. Still quite brutal.
