Did not realize this was produced in the 60s. Honestly feels more 70s experimental Shaw Brothers. Impressed that they did something so traditional based on Journey to the West (Monkey King) and provocative at that time. Apparently the third film in a series of movies that cover this topic.
Some nice setpieces and set design between the caves and lairs. Not a lot of substance but entertaining. Now I want to see the other movies in the series!
