Viewing Notes
Solid 7 out of 10 for the mostly great musical numbers esp. Meryl Streep and Chris Pine as standouts (Anna Kendrick is obviously good so no surprise there). Would’ve scored higher if they created world that looked pretty instead of the muted color palette presented. Looks like mud instead of fantastical.
Also after two great acts the third is so somber and sad and dark it feels off. Weird end to such an upbeat and hopeful movie. Still worth a watch but could’ve been so much better.
