Viewing Notes

First movie that features the jiangshi hopping vampire. Surprised jiangshi weren’t introduced earlier in HK cinema.

The premise is a bit goofy with Sammo Hung’s cheating wife and getting him to stay in the haunted house only to be killed by a living dead vampire. After he survives more effort is made to get him to stay with the vampire in hopes that he is killed.

Events lead up to a full out battle between witch doctors that includes some insane stuntwork. It’s amazing. I’m sure there were a few injuries during the filming.
