Viewing Notes

Another movie in my Rod Taylor retrospective.

I feel like that don’t make these kinds of movies anymore.. this kind of slapsticky misunderstanding romance comedy. Gotta say that Doris Day is rather fine for a 42 year old cast it what seems like a role for a younger actress (she’s actually older than Rod but they make a fun couple). As much skin as she has to show she’s quite confident and looks great.

Overall a little too goofy especially the Paul Lynde bits (the cross-dressing scene is a little too on the nose however when he later walks in on two men in bed, his expression is pretty funny). Robert Vaughn has a two second cameo which is great.

For an Aussie, Rod Taylor can do American very well.
