Viewing Notes

Solid 6/10 movie. Marred by flaws but still rather watchable for the on location sets, beautiful cinematography, and attractive cast. The plotting and script really knock the film down. The main mystery, when it is finally revealed, is about as silly as the reveal in QUATUM OF SOLACE. “Oh so that’s what you’re going to do, evil super villain???” After a nearly 2 hour chase/build-up it falls flat.

The first half is also pretty dull but things pick up when the stakes increase and the cast is narrowed to Hemsworth and Wei Tang. There’s a really nice scene when they’re on the run being chased by both FBI and the baddies.

You’d think after all these years that Mann would know better than let a cameraman reflection remain in a movie. Sad to see such an obvious error.
