I believe this was the first film for Chia Ling (Judy Lee), who was 18 years old at the time. Insane given her chops in this flick. She isn’t given much to do during the first half having just arrived in town but she quickly gets caught up with Peter Yang Kwan to fight the Axe Gang of Shanghai.
There are a few crazy full-on battles with the Axe Gang that really push the rating up. Chia Ling definitely has some charisma to go along with her kicks. Not as polished here in her debut but still a damn fine display of fighting. Another one I’d love to have a decent copy to revisit.
