The fake 5.1 audio drives me nuts on these Sword Masters releases.
Pretty good super-team flick with an all-star cast and plenty of battles. I like the idea of reuniting the brothers to take down their common foe but was hoping for some kind of explanation as to why they all have the same scar on their left hand. Also dig that Miss Yan (Cheng Pei Pei) is the leader and trainer for them. Was expecting that she was their sister.
Given the all-star cast I thought there would be a bit more rather then the fairly straight forward video game plotting but this is still quite enjoyable as all the brothers get knocked down only to come together for the finale. Wonder what was cut from the original version or if it made a difference. This is fairly lean but maybe the longer cut gives more background on the brothers (and that scar!).
Much prefer the young Lo Lieh to his later roles. Also like Chang Yi as a hero character over his villainous turn when he left for Taiwanese filmmaking and more evil characters. He’s such a badass.
