Millionaire Chu Te-Sa invests his considerable wealth into the rebel movement who are intent on usurping the ruling Mongol powers. His goals are impeded by a lack of support though and the supposed allies he has made in the town are merely eager to get their hands on his money. During an attack where these craven ‘comrades’ flee, Chu befriends three con-artists who relish the chance to show off their fighting skills. The trio subsequently agree to help Chu in his quest to end Mongol rule and hatch a plan to destroy a major munitions dump

Another recording from the El Rey Network. I’m glad they’re programming these each week but not a fan of commercial breaks or the dubbed versions. I can live with the latter since that’s often the only choice for many of these movies but fast-forwarding through commercials is very annoying and detracts from the viewing.
Didn’t realize this was a comedy, ahem, action-comedy with slapstick elements. Nor did I know that Chang Cheh directed comedies during his career. Great cast here led by Alexander Fu Sheng and David Chiang but a tad too silly, especially dubbed, to make more than mildly amusing. Worth viewing for Chang Cheh and the action sequences.
Weird that someone tagged this in IMDb as “Venom Mob” when Phillip Kwok, Lu Feng, and Chiang Sheng appear in a miner roles as guards; blink and you’ll miss them. This isn’t considered a true Venom Mob movie by definition. Ah well.
