Viewing Notes

Enough time has passed. Overall enjoyed this movie especially Cooper and Miller. The pacing is very good. If the profanity was removed this feels like a made-for-TV biopic that might be a movie of the week. Even has all the commercial breaks in the right places. Nothing wrong with that but really nothing more than a well-made story of this man during his service and how he deals with it.

I want to believe that Chris Kyle was a good man with good intentions. I wish his “legend” hadn’t gotten the better of him to embellish the facts surrounding his life. He didn’t need any of those fabricated stories to enhance his accomplishments. I kinda get the feeling that even with everything that he did do during his service he never felt it was enough. Maybe in his mind he just wanted people to believe he never stopped serving his country.
