Spain, 1950s. Montse’s agoraphobia keeps her locked in a sinister apartment in Madrid and her only link to reality is the little sister she lost her youth raising. But one day, a reckless young neighbor, Carlos, falls down the stairwell and drags himself to their door. Someone has entered the shrew’s nest… perhaps he’ll never leave.

Movie #1 on Day One!
My first movie at Stanley Film Fest 2015. Another Fantastic Fest alum with additional ties to past FF/SFF with Alex de la Iglesia producing and a terrific cast from previous FF films (Witching & BItching, Sleep Tight, The Last Circus). Great to see this crew working together again on another dark comedy that leans full-on into horror with a plot similar to Stephen King’s Misery. Yet this directing duo put their own unique spin on this tale of two sisters living with their own personal demons. Fun to see it unravel for a bloody good pay-off.
