Viewing Notes

My third movie on Day Two at SFF. Also one of my most anticipated films of the fest because of Barbara Crampton. She is so good in this. This movie does not disappoint. I’m a big fan of psychological horror and this delivers in spades. Feels like a stage play with its intimate look into this relationship between caretaker and patient. I also love that nothing is completely spelled out. Much is left to the viewer to decide what is really happening. Sarah Hagan is amazing. Her and Sara Malakul Lane really step up to make for believable characters. Crampton is the anchor. Brave performances from all three. Really, really love this movie.

Sad I had to split soon after and miss the Q&A. Also would’ve loved to meet Sarah and Sara. When I spoke with Barbara the next day it was interesting that she doesn’t like the movie because of the subject matter. However, she did express much respect for the excellent acting from the other women.
