Viewing Notes

By the time this reaches the interval it really begins to shine above most of the usual production from Bollywood. It becomes a film that defies the typical material and really stands on its own. Of course there are callbacks to old Hollywood but also shares a lot with SCARFACE and BONNIE AND CLYDE. Definitely a stronger second half when these characters have to face the music.

This movie made me miss when anti-heroes were worth rooting for in hopes for some kind of redemption or at least a better life than the one they are dealt. The finale makes the journey more substantial. Good flick.
