AKA Avenging Boxer - Odd to see Casanova Wong in a villain role. Plenty of good fighting sequences with Peter Chang Chi-Long. I especially like his scenes with Hwa Ling. Wonder why she only made one more film after this. She’s great in an otherwise basic story with Wong seeking some gold plate talisman item and beating down everyone in his path.
I will give this a 1-star bump for the amazing final fight in the warehouse between Chang, Wong and Ling. Crazy choreography plus a rope stunt I haven’t seen before, several actually. Insane that they are all doing the stunts and fighting. Wong does a wicked 3-kick in the air then later unleashes 8 kicks on Chang without putting down his leg. Had to watch that entire final sequence twice because it’s so damn good. Will say it’s kinda silly that Wong so easily gets snared considering he’s a total kung fu badass. Still so awesome. Probably one of the best single scenes of kung fu action.
