Viewing Notes
Give it an 8 for pacing and VFX action. Give it a 4 for scripting and story. So that’s a 6 out of 10, I suppose. Super dumb but my kind of dumb. Give it a lot of credit for pacing; this is a brisk 2 hours. It never feels long as the action keeps moving it along. Even the pauses are brief giving way to next setpiece. Sure, this is dopey as all hell but I enjoyed the ride. And it feels like a ride. For a movie compiled but nearly all CG the danger feels real.
I’d rather watch this again over that glorified Lifetime Channel flick THE IMPOSSIBLE.
