Great to see this movie on the big screen in 35mm. Such a rich film in the many layers it displays around this rich family and the fall from grace. A lot of the themes resonate today with the advent of the automobile and those opposed to it thinking it a foolish invention.
Interesting this is Welles’ second film because it shares a lot with his Citizen Kane. Very complimentary. Already look forward to revisiting. Agnes Moorehead is dynamite here. Our audience even applauded her during the credits.
