Bronson Pinchot does a nice job imitating Stan Laurel and Gailard Sartain gives a good appearance as Oliver Hardy, but the imitation does not extend to the original duo’s comedy. The silly story line finds the two trying to protect a professor’s daughter from a mummy that has been re-born

Micah’s pick for BTSNATX, the second movie of our movie marathon.
This is a total Micah selection. Glad it played second to get it out of the way because it’s the type of comedy that doesn’t work and isn’t funny. It’s more like a Movie Moxy pick. I didn’t hate the movie but not a flick I needed to see in that setting on the big screen.
As I discussed with Noah the kind of humor that Laurel and Hardy do works in the context of their time. To modernize those characters or at least put these same characters into a modern story doesn’t work. The humor is forced and flat.
