Viewing Notes

Give this a slight half star bump for some cool fight sequences but this a by-the-numbers story by a first-time crew. It’s as though they wanted to include nearly every trope from all the classic kung fu films they were influenced by (mainly Bruce Lee flicks as he’s referenced a number of times).

Not a bad movie just nothing original. I’d like to see what this team does next because they definitely have potential. They need a better screenwriter and a better story. Yue Song is definitely a talented fighter. I enjoyed the behind the scenes clips during the credits the most. Maybe a homage to Jackie Chan.
