Viewing Notes

Pretty good Taiwanese kung fu flick with three principle characters that all duke it out against each other until a final battle between all three. Don Wong Tao is the central protagonist as the victorious general that escapes to Taiwan only to have a bounty hunter on his trail, the badass John Liu Chung-Liang. Don Wong crosses paths with a beautiful Japanese seductress, Kim Chung Ja, who becomes his girl and protector of sorts. She has an unusual topless scene where it’s clear that a body double is used. She’s quite fetching and also a decent martial artist (but no match for John Liu). I believe this is her only film which is unfortunate because she’s good here and easy on the eyes.

Eagle Han is the evil Lord To Ku Lan that wants Don Wong dead. John Liu becomes a sympathizer and joins forces with Don Wong to fight the evil lord. Plenty of good kung fu fighting in a fairly straight forward plot. I love John Liu’s bravado the most.
