Gordon Liu and Lo Lieh? Damn.
Another data fuckery in TMDb thanks to more data fuckery in IMDb. Director is Lau Kar-Wing, brother of Lau Kar-Leung.
The labyrinth traps are great. Wish there was more of that. Interesting to see this production in-between their run with Shaw. The fight with Lieh and Liu really highlights the difference in the skill as Lieh isn’t really a martial artist (in most of his films he has a stand-in for any intricate fighting). Also by this time in his career he was portraying older characters like Pai Mei whereas Liu is at the height of his abilities. (both showcased in the Clan of the White Lotus the following year).
Overall not a great film but still enjoyable given the talent involved.
