Viewing Notes

First film on Day 3 at Noir City Chicago, an Edwardian noir to start the day, led by the absolutely stunning Joan Fontaine as the femme fatale. Interesting to see noir depicted in a period piece but also very cool. More film noir bingo with the jaded detective and chiming clock among other things. Easy story to accept since all these men can’t help but fall for the beautiful Ivy. Very happy to have seen this on the big screen in 35mm.
