Viewing Notes

Better than the first movie. By a smidgen. Firstly I am pleased that the horror elements from Maze Runner are still present and increased. Plenty of terror happening in this installment and it’s great. Like a Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Borderlands mashup. I also like that it’s not a rehash of the first film. It has a natural extension to continue the story in a different direction.

I will probably go see this again since my viewing was not ideal. The projector wasn’t working so it was delayed. Then when it was fired up, there was only front audio; no surrounds. I actually left to complain about the audio but nothing was done to correct. I was already given a free pass due to the delay so I wasn’t given another pass for that crap. Very weird to watch a movie in a huge theater with only front sound projection. Especially one that you know has plenty of audio FX.

This movie will be worth a Muvico viewing after I get back from FF.
