Not big on the GITS movies / series since the original movie but they can be interesting. This “new movie” is on par with all the recent entries with a familiar story and some excellent action beats. But overall I was underwhelmed because none of this is new or elevates the material or characters. When everyone is a super cyborg then what’s so special?
Nice to see on the big screen but not necessary. Also, unlike the recent Baruto movie, this was dubbed in English by the same voice actors we all know. Not terrible but it’d be cool to have the original Japanese language.
