Viewing Notes

Trying to decide if this was of an influence on THE HATEFUL EIGHT or THE REVENANT. Pretty cool flick although marred by the seriously shitty transfer available on Amazon Instant. Definitely one I’d love to see again in a much better presentation. Lots of such going on here that requires a better quality viewing. The crappy transfer is a distraction softens the edge on much of the brutality on display.

One thing is certain; this had to be a bitch to film in snowy mountains in Spain. All of it just looks harsh and unpleasant.
