Viewing Notes

I’m probably overly excited for this. I’ve never seen this before and now I’m going to view this in 3D at Film Center.

Wow. This is one helluva bizarre flick. It utilizes the 3D gimmick in such a unique way; place the 3D glasses over your eyes whenever the main character places the mask on his face. Then experience the ethereal nightmarish world in the third dimension!

It plays like an extended Twilight Zone episode with the mask as the device the drives the story. Put it on and become possessed. But it works in this feature length format. The dream-like fantasy world is haunting. Really enjoyed this viewing on the big screen at Siskel. The restored DCP looks amazing and crisp.
