Six troubled high school students and their chaperon, an optimistic youth ministries Pastor, return from an outdoor character building retreat in the mountains. During a raging storm, their bus crashes, hopelessly stranding them in the middle of the Trucker’s Triangle, a forgotten locus of consummate evil in the middle of nowhere.

Definitely a holdover from last October when I pushed a bunch of horror titles to the top of my queue. Not even sure how this got in my queue since “white trash trailer park horror” isn’t something I’d gravitate towards. Ah well. Gotta watch so I can return it.
The story is so nonsensical it’s annoying. It reminds of the Country Bear Jamboree at Disneyland if the bears were reanimated corpses of disfigured rednecks. Tonally weird. Meant to funny yet scary. The make-up and practical FX are excellent but it doesn’t matter when the story is so dumb. But I will give a +star for those FX which are gruesome at times.
