For my 90s Rewatch Project. Originally saw this opening weekend in Milwaukee at a tiny theater near my apartment. I totally dug it as a B-movie. Since then this movie has this reputation as a terrible movie so I’ve always wanted to revisit but finally doing it 17 years later. Yeah, it’s not great and often cheesy but I still dig it. I like the CG FX which are still better than a lot of movies released today (looking at you The Asylum and SyFy Channel).
I also marvel at the list of B-actors assembled here. Tchéky Karyo, Jürgen Prochnow and David Warner?! Hell yes. And I don’t mind Freddie Prinze Jr. or Matthew Lillard in this (both at the zenith of their careers).
If this somehow got a rep screening I would totally go.
