Another light-hearted musical starring Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland, who are magic onscreen. I’m sure there’s been something written about these two and I’d like to read it someday. Quickly becoming a favorite movie couple. So much talent between them; they rise above this soggy story.
Weird to see a full on dance and singing performance in complete blackface but that was the times. Just strange to see it embraced. It is a great routine, however.
