Always love seeing Yoshiyuki Morishita pop up in a movie! Wish I had seen this at Fantastic Fest. I love the batshit insanity of this movie! I’ll have to buy to add to my Miike collection. There’s so much going on and oddly the sound mix is so weird on Amazon that it was hard to hear much of the dialogue. But the bass was intense. This is a live-action manga and I love when Miike goes bonkers in his films. I can understand why this didn’t go over well with most but it’s totally my kind of weirdness. Also didn’t realize Mad Dog was in the movie. Really disappointed in myself not catching in theater.
Seeing Reiko Takashima in this makes me wanna revisit Space Battleship Yamato and the Black Angel series.
