This is the kind of movie I would’ve watched as a kid. I’m surprised I hadn’t seen it already given that my dad would love this movie. Was nice to see plenty of families and children in attendance. Having no expectations going in I was very entertained by this film. Humor was done well with an engaging story and characters. Also this is probably the cleanest and best looking 70mm print I’ve seen. It was so crisp I often didn’t look like a print. Stunning to see on that new enormous screen.
Funny that I thought Pierre Dubois, the French pilot, resembled Vincent Cassel… that was Jean-Pierre Cassel, Vincent’s father! The running gag with him and Irina Demick is hilarious.
