Another solid animated feature from DC Comics. Didn’t know anything about this so I was surprised this was a alt.universe story or Elseworlds. Basically the new Justice League (only Supes, Bats and WW) are crimefighters with questionable tactics (they kill the criminals). This is essentially a Rated-R animated feature or it would be if it were live action. The violence is intense and the language is edgy if not overly misogynistic, which I could do without (seriously, Supes calls Lois a bitch).
Overall this is still better than MoS or BvS in how it handles the story and characters. The motivations are understood and the plot is compelling. I really like these new depictions of these heroes and how they came to be. I’m all for more features with them.
