Kinda amazing that I haven’t seen the Ewok movies before now. Guess I never cared and that they’ve never had a good reputation as kept me away. Saw the flipper disc on the shelf at the library so I picked it up.
This first movie isn’t awful but definitely dragged down by the two child actors. They just aren’t very good and worse; they possess zero charisma, which is a must for any Star Wars adventure. Honestly when you’re two leads are upstaged by Ewoks then you know they ain’t good. Also pacing issues abound. Story needs more punch.
Overall I can’t be that hard on this because it is a children’s story and may have more appeal to a younger set.
