Overview
The world is under attack by an alien armada led by the powerful Apokoliptian, Darkseid. A group of superheroes consisting of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, and Shazam must set aside their differences and gather together to defend Earth.

Viewing Notes
Having watched a few of these DC animated movies in a short period, I find it fascinating that they are adapting stories that seem to be standalone in nature, i.e. different takes on this universe and heroes. In this movie, none of the heroes know each other and meet for the first time despite being established. It’s weird that they only just know of the other’s presence.
The stories are good but it’s hard to develop any sense of purpose for the heroes or relationships since the movies are *not* connected. They are literally one and done. Again, this the beauty of animated films; they can easily make them and tell many stories that wouldn’t work as live action. It is unfortunate they can’t learn from these and make the live action films more compelling.
