Overview
A man-cub named Mowgli fostered by wolves. After a threat from the tiger Shere Khan, Mowgli is forced to flee the jungle, by which he embarks on a journey of self discovery with the help of the panther, Bagheera and the free-spirited bear, Baloo.

Viewing Notes
Some incredible CG work here. The animals and the scenery are astonishing. Almost distracting. Didn’t care for the musical numbers, which feel forced and totally unnecessary. They really take the air out. Didn’t have a problem with the kid. Idris Elba is so great that I was rooting for him most of the time bc he’s right.
Keen to revisit the animated feature from 1967 to compare stories.
