Likely to be in my top 25 of the year. Hits so many notes so perfectly. Truly a time capsule representing that year and these guys in 1980. When I wasn’t laughing I had an ear to ear grin. It’s amazing how much music plays a part in our lives and can instantly take you back to certain moments. This is a movie that I want to throw on in the background and just enjoy being around it. Yes, it’s steeped in nostalgia but rich with the relationships and innocence we’ve all experienced.
It’s unfortunate this hasn’t gotten a bigger release so more people can experience it. Four screens in Chicago (three in the city) isn’t enough.
