Viewing Notes
Made to look like Japanese animation but it’s not (and the animation was produced in S.Korea of course). Besides this the movie also commits another awful trend of combining computer generated graphics with cel animation which is so jarring and weird.
Modernizing this TV series and making it deathly serious in tone completely misfires on replicating the charm of that original series. The story isn’t bad but without any character development it’s hard to be invested in anything here.
Viewing this only makes me want to return to the original series.
