Viewing Notes

Enjoyed a private screening of this at my local AMC. Better than I expected given the poor box office but I guess this video game brand doesn’t carry as much weight as they initially thought. Too bad as this is a pretty good big screen adaptation with some nice animation that resembles the game. Not great but decent in that it works as part origin story and game tutorial plus space adventure.

I had never played the game so I picked up R&C: Full Frontal Assault from the library to give it a spin and get acquainted with the characters. Found the game enjoyable enough to be intrigued by the film so I went. Cool to see these characters on the big screen in what could be a template for a video game (if it hasn’t been done already; I’ve only played the one). Voice acting is also pretty good.
