Viewing Notes

First film in the kung fu double feature today. Surprised I hadn’t already seen this one but so, so great to see on the big screen in 35mm with a large audience cheering and clapping all the amazing fight sequences. Kung fu in 35 on the big screen is just the best.

Before the film Dan Halsted gave the same presentation he did 4 years at Portage about how he found the 200+ kung fu films at the Shaw Theater in Vancouver, which I totally love (and I have retold this story many times including today to some friends).
