China, year 1457. The Minister of Defense is executed, and his children are sentenced to exile by order of the tyrannical Tsao. So glad I had the opportunity to see this King Hu film on the big screen. Just wish I wasn’t so damn tired. Super challenging for me to view a movie right after work. Also wish I didn’t have guy behind me that had to chuckle at EVERYTHING in this movie. Anyways, I look forward to the Criterion release so I can watch again and again.
