Viewing Notes
Hotel looks like the hotel from Motel Hell. Beginning reminds me of Cabin in the Woods. Overall this a movie that wholesale lifts from other stories/movies that did it better and more interesting and less ugly. Basically this is a cross between JUST BEFORE DAWN and The X-Files “Home” episode with Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Yet the sum of the pieces result in a film not even close to the level of those. Just mean-spirited and vulgar in an attempt to be scary.
And I was right; the hotel location is the same one used in Motel Hell. I partly thought this was an unofficial sequel to that movie with how it starts but it’s not.
