Finally got through this. Was not the movie I thought it would be after the first 30 minutes or so. But it does depict the challenges of a mixed marriage between this Japanese diplomat and his American blonde wife. I thought the story was going to be more about that but it goes into war territory and how their relationship is strained from both the US and Japan prejudice.
