Overview

A holiday favourite for generations…  George Bailey has spent his entire life giving to the people of Bedford Falls.  All that prevents rich skinflint Mr. Potter from taking over the entire town is George’s modest building and loan company.  But on Christmas Eve the business’s $8,000 is lost and George’s troubles begin.

Viewing Notes

hard to believe it’s taken me this long to finally see this movie on the big screen again. I say this because it’s always on the big screen somewhere this time of the year and usually always at the Music Box. I didn’t go MBT for this since it was showing at Regal Cinemas Lincolnshire for $5.20. It was a better viewing experience than it would’ve been at MBT.

I’ve seen this movie so many times it’s like a warm blanket. The entire final sequence is so good and gets me every time.

Things I noticed seeing it big are the attention to all the small details like inside George’s home, Potter’s office and in the Building & Loan. The sets look real and lived in. I love that black skull sitting on Potter’s desk. I also love the crow and squirrel at the Building & Loan.
