First film up in the live action short film package and my favorite of the five. Hope it wins the Oscar!
First short up in the Oscar-nominated Live Action Short Films and my pick to take the award. Touches on a relatable concern around real issues surrounding inclusion and how we view “participation trophies” through the lens of these school children in Hungary. Well told and balances the topic with a large scoop of humor and comeuppance. Proves that these shorts don’t have to be in-your-face and heavy-handed with controversial subject matter to be effective.
