Pretty much will see anything for $5.65 matinee.
Okay, so this flick was originally released last June which explains why it’s all over the streaming sites. It was also called AUTOBAHN, which is a better name than “Collide”. Nicholas Hoult fills the John Cusack / Patrick Dempsey role fine but lacks some of their charm. Sadly Felicity Jones does nothing here.
Really it’s both Anthony Hopkins and Ben Kingsley that steal the movie chewing up every scene they’re in and frankly forget anyone else in the scene. Initially I thought Hopkins was collecting a paycheck for a few minutes but he really brings the evil. Kingsley is just having a good time. My favorite character is the one by Aleksandar Jovanović. He’d be perfect in a Bourne film or some other assassin thriller flick.
Overall nothing special here but hits all the marks from films we’ve seen before. Will play fine on Netflix / Amazon.
