Overview

A Japanese police unit who use giant anthropomorphic robots (called Labors) is caught up in a political struggle between the civilian authorities and the military when a terrorist act is blamed on an Air Force jet. With the aid of a government agent, the team gets close to a terrorist leader to stop things from going out of control when after the military is impelled to impose martial law.

Viewing Notes

Thought I had seen this one before but if I have then I didn’t recall any of it. Wouldn’t surprise me if so because this is drenched in politico-terrorism between the police and military and government and oh I don’t care anymore. It’s crazy to me that Oshii is so absorbed with the drama aspect and less on the potential action between mechs and whatnot. What little action there is works well but the plot line never grabbed me.
