okay I really don’t get the film twitter feeding frenzy circling this film. The negativity surrounding it may perhaps be the worst I’ve seen (literally things like “someday there will be triple features with this movie sandwiched between THE ROOM and BIRDEMIC”). folks, I’ll admit this is not a good movie but it’s hardly the worst the movie. I seriously believe that people either haven’t see many truly bad movies or just forget what a real bad movie is.
Yes this movie has a lot of issues but I was entertained… mainly because I wanted to see the next WTF thing would happen next. It’s like 5 movies in one and never knowing if any will actually resolve by the end. My audience was weird; one woman behind was sobbing uncontrollably during the mid-section while another couple walked out with maybe 15 minutes left to go. What.
The movie is fascinating bc you sit there wondering how this got made and what that process was like. There is creativity and inventiveness but seldom do they work within the constructs of this narrative.
