Viewing Notes

Finally cracked into my Female Prisoner Scorpion blu-ray set from Arrow to finish the night on a high note (Meiko Kaji).

I don’t think Meiko says one word during this film. Maybe she does early on but at some point past the halfway mark I started really paying attention to whether she would speak. This is a brilliant role in that everything she does is conveyed by her expression. And she’s fierce as fuck. Also the lurid colors counterbalance the neutral prison tones. This is a wild film that is doing a lot with very little. I love it.
