Overview
Saber Raine is hired to guide three elite soldiers on a rescue mission to recover a prince and princess who have been abducted from their home world. The trail leads Saber and his allies to a planet deep within uncharted space that is inhabited by strange mutated creatures.

Viewing Notes
Okay this is not a very good movie but totally my kind of not very good. Sci-fi adventure that is intentionally pulpy with cheesy FX and mostly bad acting about sums it up. Worth noting that whatever minuscule budget they had for this most of it was spent on the costumes and prosthetics (the best thing about this flick). Being shot digitally actually hurts this movie along with the color correction which appears oversaturated to enhance the colors to be more distracting. I suppose this was meant to be the start of a series but I’m guessing they won’t make more. Of course they setup a sequel too.
Definitely feels more like a pilot TV episode to launch a series, which could be true but wasn’t picked up. Feels a lot like the genre TV series from the 90s (think Kevin Sorbo’s “Andromeda” series).
I like that it was shoot on location in Colorado. Makes for a nice backdrop for all the outdoor scenes. Wish Cynthia Rothrock had a larger role.
