The frustrated housewife Leslie visits an animal shop to purchase a flea-collar. Unknowing that the owner is a werewolf, she accepts his invitation to lunch and later in his apartment. Through a bite in her toe he starts her slow transformation in a werewolf. Home again, she desperately tries to hide the often disgusting process from her family, but her daughter Jennifer and her - from horror magazines well educated - friend recognize what’s going on, and help to kill the non-human.

Firstly I had no idea this was a late 80s flick (thought it was a 50s or 60s b-movie bc it was on this Mill Creek set). Secondly I didn’t know this was a Crown International flick (didn’t know they were still producing films into the late 80s). Thirdly didn’t realize this was a comedy more along the lines of Teen Wolf but totally part of that 80s werewolf cycle that includes Silver Bullet and American Werewolf et al.
Not a terrible movie but a very silly movie. And yet another one I can imagine screening at a horror marathon here. It has a suave John Saxon and kids into horror (think Monster Squad) with some standard 80s practical FX. Fun watch for all those reasons.
